We measure our success on the journey to being a world-class organization by seeking rigorous assessments of our practices by esteemed organizations such as the Florida Sterling Council, the Government Finance Officers Association, Standard & Poor’s and others.
A world-class organization is never satisfied with the status quo. We use the valuable feedback we receive from these assessments to make improvements. Also, we actively benchmark with high performing public and private sector organizations to identify and implement best practices in areas such as leadership, strategic planning, customer service, process improvement and employee satisfaction.

- Standard & Poor’s assigned the county’s investment portfolio the highest rating category AAAf/S1, which represents extremely strong protection against credit losses from credit defaults and low volatility, or sensitivity to changing market conditions. The portfolio is managed by the Clerk & Comptroller.
