Message from Clerk Bock:
Online Foreclosure Auctions Coming
The proverbial days of auctioning properties on the courthouse steps are nearly over! I’m excited to announce that the Clerk & Comptroller’s office will begin conducting online foreclosure auctions starting January 21, 2010. The new convenient service is part of my ongoing effort to use technology to improve efficiencies, customer service and your access to the courts.
By selling Palm Beach County’s foreclosures online, anyone can research and bid on properties from anywhere in the world. Online auctions will replace in-person sales at the courthouse—a change that will save time, money and limited staff resources. With the record number of foreclosure cases filed in the County, along with our unprecedented budget cuts, every hour and every dollar that can be saved counts!
While the first auction isn’t until the end of January, beginning January 6, 2010, you will be able to access an online demonstration, register to bid, place deposits and research properties. Training is available for those who are interested. To register or to find out more information about our online auctions, please visit Online Foreclosure Sales.
Thank you for your continued support. It is a privilege to serve you.
Sharon R. Bock, Esq.
Clerk & Comptroller, Palm Beach County
