What is the minimum age for volunteers at the Clerk's office?

Volunteers must be at least 15 years of age.  Parental consent form required for applicants age 15-18.

Can high school students earn community service hours by volunteering at the Clerk's office?

Yes, high school students can earn community service hours by volunteering at our office.  Parental consent form required for applicants age 15-18.

Do I have to have a background check?

Yes, a background check is required. Also, all of our volunteers are required to be fingerprinted and photographed for a badge. You will receive an email with instructions for making an appointment.

What is the dress code?

Volunteers should follow a business casual dress code.

How do I track my time spent volunteering?

While in our office, you can use our online tracking system to log your volunteer hours. You will also be able to print a letter with your service hours through this system.

Can I choose the location and hours that I want to volunteer?

We are open Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and make every effort to accommodate requests. We want to make volunteering as convenient as possible for you, so we will work with your schedule and strive to place you in the location that is closest to your home and/or of most interest to you.

How do I apply?

Is parking provided?

Yes, we provide free parking to our volunteers when they are working at our offices.
