What does a Clerk & Comptroller volunteer do?

Volunteers add much-needed support to our departments and enhance the quality of services provided to the public.

Clerk & Comptroller volunteers work alongside our employees, providing information and assistance to the public and performing duties such as filing, research and data entry. Qualified volunteers may also provide specialized assistance in the areas of finance, human resources, communications, and technology.

Who can volunteer?

Volunteers must meet the following minimum criteria:

Why Volunteer?

Volunteers for the Clerk & Comptroller find the experience to be both educational and rewarding.  They gain knowledge of the Palm Beach County judicial system while serving the public and assisting the Clerk & Comptroller’s employees.  Hours worked by volunteers save the taxpayers of Palm Beach County significant amounts of money.

“We often receive compliments on our excellent service and our can-do attitude.”

Volunteers span a variety of ages, come from diverse ethnic backgrounds and have a multitude of skill levels.  But, they all have one thing in common:  they care about the community.

“We treat each other with respect and consideration because we believe our success is the product of a total team effort using each person’s special contribution.”
