COUPLES MARRY IN CLERK’S VALENTINE’S DAY GROUP WEDDING
Clerk Bock presides over fourth group wedding at the National Croquet Center
WEST PALM BEACH, FLA. (February 14, 2014) – Thirty-one local couples exchanged vows on Valentine’s Day at a group wedding ceremony officiated by Clerk Sharon Bock at the National Croquet Center in West Palm Beach.
The group ceremony held Friday morning was the fourth Valentine’s Day wedding organized by the Clerk’s office and the National Croquet Center, which donated its facility for the event. Registration opened in January for couples who wanted to take part in the wedding. The only cost to the couples is their marriage license.
“Valentine’s Day is a celebration of love, and what better way to celebrate than with a wedding in this beautiful location?” Clerk Bock said. “I’m grateful to the National Croquet Center for hosting this event for the fourth time, and for all the community partners who help make this day possible for our happy couples.”
The Croquet Center enlisted businesses to contribute their services for the wedding, allowing the event to be provided at no cost to taxpayers.
“This wedding truly is an event like no other,” said Sandy Coto, director of events at the National Croquet Center. “Everyone at the Croquet Center is focused on helping ensure this is a memorable day for all the couples.”
The community partners contributing to this year’s wedding included:
The Clerk’s office issues marriage licenses at the Main Courthouse in West Palm Beach and at branch courthouse locations in Belle Glade, Delray Beach, Palm Beach Gardens and Royal Palm Beach.
