Checks & Balances: Your Guide to County Finances, also called the Popular Annual Financial Report or PAFR, is a user-friendly tool that helps residents understand how their tax dollars are managed and spent. The easy-to-read guide, produced annually by the Clerk & Comptroller’s office, highlights important financial information and issues affecting the County’s financial health. It contains condensed and simplified information mostly from the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report, or CAFR, which is compiled at the end of each fiscal year.
