Internet Document Restrictions
As of June 5, 2002, the law requires that documents of the following types, recorded on or after the effective date, may not be placed on a publicly available Internet Web site:
- Military Discharge
- Death Certificates
- Court files, records of paper relating to matters or cases governed by:
- The Florida Rules of Family
- The Florida Rules of Juvenile Procedure
- The Florida Rules of Probate
For documents recorded prior to June 5, 2002, any affected person may request that the Clerk & Comptroller remove an image of one of the above-listed documents from a publicly available Internet Web site. This request must be in writing and may be delivered in person, by mail, electronically, or by facsimile. Please use the request form below and specify the book and page number of the document to be removed.
*MS Word 97 or newer required. Completed form may be sent to CCRPRIVACY@mypalmbeachclerk.com.
You may search public records online through our Official Records Listing, or you may visit any of our offices between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. No fee is charged for this service.
Florida law requires that images and copies of the above listed documents remain on file and available to the public upon request in the office of the Clerk & Comptroller.
