Volunteer Opportunities
The Clerk & Comptroller’s office offers a volunteer program that benefits our citizens and our government. The program is an important opportunity for citizens to provide public service and participate in the democratic process.
High school students may earn community service hours by volunteering at the Clerk & Comptroller's office.
Volunteers add much-needed support to our departments and enhance the quality of services provided to the public. They find the experience to be both educational and rewarding because they gain knowledge of the Palm Beach County judicial system while serving the public and assisting our employees. Hours worked by volunteers save the taxpayers of Palm Beach County significant amounts of money.
Some of the many advantages of being a volunteer include:
Flexible Scheduling
Volunteers can commit to as many hours per day, as many days per week, as they wish. Volunteer opportunities are available between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. All donated time and talent is appreciated.
On-the-Job Work Experience
Clerk & Comptroller volunteers work alongside our employees, providing information and assistance to the public and performing duties such as filing, research and data entry. Qualified volunteers may also provide specialized assistance in the areas of finance, human resources, communications, and technology.
Experience in a Variety of Functions and Locations
Volunteers can work in any of the following locations and branches:
- Main Courthouse, Governmental Center & Criminal Justice Complex in West Palm Beach
- North County Courthouse in Palm Beach Gardens
