Clerk's HR team receives Healthiest Employer Award

WEST PALM BEACH, FLA. (May 31, 2019) – The Clerk & Comptroller’s continued commitment to improving the physical, emotional and financial well-being of its nearly 700 employees earned the office the second place spot on the South Florida Business Journal’s healthiest employer list for 2019.

The award, presented by Florida Blue, recognizes organizations in Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade counties that establish policies and initiatives that promote the overall health and wellness of their employees.

“We are committed to providing our employees with the tools and resources they need to make smart, healthy choices for themselves and their family members,” said Clerk & Comptroller Sharon R. Bock, Esq. “From our onsite health fairs to our deferred compensation program, we encourage our team to invest in themselves.”

The Clerk & Comptroller has a proud tradition of offering its employees a comprehensive program that focuses on their overall well-being. The program features a variety of wellness opportunities, including lunch & learn workshops, lifestyle challenges, training events and one-on-one meetings with financial planning experts.

The Clerk & Comptroller is one of 10 large organizations to earn a spot on the South Florida Business Journal’s 2019 list. Among the other large organizations honored this year: Humana, Inc., Bean Automotive Group, American Express, City Furniture, U-Haul, City of North Miami, City of Miami Beach, Lynn University, and the City of Coral Gables.

This marks the sixth time since 2012 that the Clerk & Comptroller has appeared on the healthiest employer list.

The Clerk & Comptroller’s wellness program was also recognized by the American Heart Association in 2018. The Clerk’s office was named as a Silver Level Recipient of the association’s Workplace Health Achievement Index.
