WEST PALM BEACH, FL (October 29, 2025) – The office of Mike Caruso, Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller for Palm Beach County, is providing a special opportunity for veterans, reservists and active-duty military with a suspended driver’s license to regain their driving privileges without paying collection agency fees.
Clerk Caruso is waiving the 25-percent collection agency fee for all those who have served or continue to serve in the U.S. military during “Operation Camo” on November 10, 12, 13 and 14. The Clerk’s office and 15th Judicial Circuit will be closed on Tuesday, November 11, in observance of Veterans Day.
Operation Camo is an in-person event only and applies only to Palm Beach County cases. Anyone participating in Operation Camo should bring one of the following to confirm their military service: Copy of DD-214 form, military identification or a driver’s license with veteran designation.
“We stand by the men and women who proudly serve our country,” Clerk Caruso said. “Operation Camo is a way to show our appreciation to our veterans, reservists and active-duty military personnel for their service, while giving them the chance to save money and restore their driving privileges if they have a suspended license.”
Florida law requires the Clerk’s office to turn over unpaid tickets and other outstanding court fines and fees to an outside collection agency if the debt is not paid within 90 days of the due date. Those who don’t pay also have their driver license suspended.
