Now on Display: “Home is Where the Heart Is” Art Created by Dr. Joaquin Garcia High School Students

Post Date:05/27/2026 3:21 PM

The walls of the Jury room at the Main Courthouse in downtown West Palm Beach are now lined with students’ impressions of home, thanks to the Clerks for Arts program and partnership between Dr. Joaquin Garcia High School and the Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller, Palm Beach County.

Students from Dr. Joaquin Garcia High School in suburban Lake Worth created unique pieces for Clerks for Arts, a program that helps students show off their artistic talents and raise money for their school art programs, which are sold at auction to raise money for the program.

This year’s art, created around the theme of “Home is Where the Heart Is,” was installed in the Jury room on May 15 following an April celebration of the artists at the high school. During the event, Clerk Mike Caruso presented the school with a check for $3,038, the proceeds from the 2026 online auction and other fundraisers held by Clerk’s office employees.

Watch highlights from the April event and hear from Dr. Garcia High student artists and their teachers on the Clerk’s YouTube channel, www.youtube.com/clerkpbc. Learn more about the Clerks for Arts program at mypalmbeachclerk.com/clerksforarts.
