As your Clerk of Court, my office handles the day-to-day management of jury service here in Palm Beach County, including mailing your summons, validating parking and making sure your time with us is easy and comfortable.

But did you know that there are options for you to postpone your service or choose not to serve under certain circumstances?

If you are 70 years old or above, you have the option to request a postponement or excusal from jury duty. Additionally, those responsible for the care of a person who is medically or mentally incapacitated and others may request an excusal.

All potential jurors are also entitled to two postponements within six months from the original summons date.

Simply submit your request on our Jury website or call 561-355-2930 and select option 1. Make sure you have your Juror ID number or driver license number as required.
