If you have a traffic infraction case and need more time to pay, you can apply online for a payment plan. You can also apply online for a payment plan in a criminal or misdemeanor case that has been adjudicated by the court or if the court has ordered you to establish a payment plan as part of your sentence.

Your application will be reviewed to determine if you are eligible for a payment plan.

If any of the following are true, you are not eligible to establish a payment plan online. Please contact us at 561-355-2994 for more information.

  • Your payment is due within 24 hours
  • Your case has been referred to a collections agency
  • You have a future court date scheduled

If your case has been referred to a collection agency due to an outstanding balance, you are not eligible for a payment plan. All cases referred to a collection agency must be paid directly to that collection agency.

Setting up a Payment Plan

Upon receipt of your payment plan application, a Court Compliance Team member will contact you via email regarding next steps.

By completing the Payment Plan Application, you agree to pay the $25.00 administrative fee to set up the plan, which will be administered by the Clerk & Comptroller, Palm Beach County. If late fees are due on your case, a Court Compliance Team member will contact you via email to advise you of the amount due in order to set up the plan.

Prior to completing the Payment Plan Application, obtain your case number and balance by searching our free online database of Criminal & Traffic court records or contacting our Customer Service department at 561-355-2994, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. excluding holidays.

Making Payments

By establishing a payment plan, you agree to make monthly payments until the total amount of fines and costs are paid in full. A payment schedule that will reflect your monthly payment amount and due date will be sent to the email address listed on the Payment Plan Application.

Pay Online or by Mobile App

Use PayItClerkPBC to quickly and securely pay your payment plan installments. Get reminders for upcoming due dates and keep track of all your receipts using the PayItClerkPBC app, available in the Apple App Store and Google Play. A service fee of $2.50 per transaction plus 2.5 percent will apply.

Pay by Phone

To make a payment by credit card without waiting, please call 561.207.7189.

A 6 percent service charge will apply for each credit card transaction.  Payments by phone are available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on weekends from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

If you need to speak to a Clerk representative, please call 561.355.2994 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Pay by Mail

Payment may be made by personal check or money order made payable to Sharon Bock, Clerk & Comptroller. Do not send cash by mail. To ensure proper credit of the payment to your case, please include your case number or citation number with your payment. See below for locations and the mailing addresses.

Pay at Our Office

You may make payments at any of our branch locations using cash, check or credit card.  A 3.5 percent service charge will be applied to payments made by credit card. See below for branch locations and hours.

Checks or money orders should be made payable to Sharon R. Bock, Clerk & Comptroller. Funds must be made in U.S. dollars and drawn on a U.S. bank.

All payments must be received by the Clerk’s office no later than the date stated on the payment schedule.

Please contact our office at 561-355-2994 to verify your final payment amount. Please be aware that if your criminal case is in judgment, interest will continue to accrue at the prescribed rate on the remaining balance on your case until paid in full. When your payment plan is complete, please contact the Clerk & Comptroller’s office for the final balance due in order to satisfy the judgment.

A minimum returned check fee of $25.00 will be assessed for checks returned unpaid by the bank pursuant to Florida Statute 68.065.

Failure to make timely payments pursuant to the payment plan:

  • Will result in the assessment of late fees and the suspension of your driver’s license pursuant to Florida Statutes 318.15; and
  • May result in your case being sent to a collection agency and assessed up to 30% in additional fees pursuant to Florida Statute 28.246(6).

Please note: The Clerk’s office does not use the postage date stamp to calculate timeliness of documents. All documents are date and time stamped upon receipt. Please allow sufficient time for mail delivery to avoid late fees and suspension.
