If you are issued a “Notice of Violation” for a School Zone Camera Violation, you have until the due date listed on the Notice to address the violation.

All images and video pertaining to violations can be viewed before paying or contesting the violation using the website address provided on the citation.

If you have received a "Uniform Traffic Citation" in the mail for a School Zone Camera Violation, the vehicle owner has 30 calendar days to take one of the following actions with the Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller:

  • Pay the fine of $206.

  • Although points are not assessed for School Zone Camera Violations, you can elect Traffic School and pay a reduced fine of $188.

  • Plead Not Guilty in writing, submit it to any Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller office location, and request a court date. At the court hearing, if you are found guilty of the offense, the court may assess a higher penalty.

  • File an exemption affidavit. If you are the registered owner of the vehicle, you are deemed responsible for the penalty unless, in compliance with Florida Statue 316.1896, you establish by a notarized affidavit that a statutory exemption applies. Your citation will include a website where you may obtain an affidavit.

Failure to take action within 30 calendar days will result in your license being suspended and incur additional fees and costs.

We offer a variety of ways to pay. See your payment options.
