Who Is Eligible
If you received a traffic ticket in Palm Beach County that does not involve a crash, does not require a mandatory hearing and has not been referred to a collection agency, you may submit a Plea of Guilty / No Contest and No Request for Hearing.
Benefits of a Plea of Guilty / No Contest and No Request for Hearing
If your plea is accepted by the court:
- The court may withhold adjudication of guilt (no points on your record).
- You will not have to attend a court hearing.
By submitting a Plea of Guilty / No Contest and No Request for Hearing, you also get more time to pay.
If the court accepts your plea, you will receive a court order with the amount you must pay and how long you have to pay it. The court may also require you to attend driving school within a certain period of time.
If the court does not accept your plea, you can then choose to pay the ticket, pay the ticket and attend traffic school, or request a court date to plead not guilty.
When submitting a Plea of Guilty / No Contest and No Request for Hearing, you do not need to pay your ticket until the court makes a ruling.
You must file your Plea of Guilty / No Contest and No Request for Hearing within 30 days of the infraction to avoid late fees.
