Tickets for No Valid Driver’s License, Insurance or Registration

(“Proof” or Compliance Tickets)

  • Can I get the ticket dismissed?

IF you received a ticket for not having your driver’s license, vehicle insurance or vehicle registration with you when you were stopped by an officer,

AND you can prove you had a valid driver's license, insurance or registration that was issued before you were ticketed,

THEN you may be eligible for a dismissal of the citation by paying a reduced fee of $10. 

 

To be eligible for the reduced fee, and to have the Clerk dismiss your citation, you must submit the following to the Clerk within 30 days from the date the citation was issued:

  1. Proof that you had the appropriate documentation issued before you were ticketed.  
    The proof can be a copy of your driver license, registration or insurance card (whichever applies). The proof must show an issued date prior to the date of the ticket. For registration and insurance proof, the vehicle description must also match the vehicle described on the citation.

  2. Payment of the $10 dismissal fee to the Clerk.
    Payment may be made by cash, check, money order or credit card. If paying by check, the payee is Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller, Palm Beach County.

How do I show my proof of compliance and make the payment? 

  • Online: Use the button below to submit your proof.
  • In person: Visit one of our convenient locations.
  • By mail: Mail your proof and $10 dismissal fee to any of our locations.

Submit your proof of compliance using the online form, and we will email you instructions to complete your transaction once we have reviewed your proof.

You may also use the online form to submit your Affidavit of Compliance if you have received a disabled parking citation.
 

FAQs

  • Can I pay my proof of compliance ticket online?

    If you had the required documentation issued prior to being ticketed: You may submit your proof using our online form. Once we have reviewed your proof, we will email you instructions to pay online.

    If you are not providing proof and want to pay your citation in full: You may either mail your payment, visit us in person or call our office for assistance at 561-355-2994. You will not be able to pay online. See locations and mailing addresses.

  • What are my options if I cannot provide proof?

    You may pay the citation in full or enter a plea of not guilty.

  • Do you accept electronic proof in the office?
    Yes, our clerks at the counter can assist you if you only can provide electronic proof.
