Circuit Sound Lifts Their Voices To Raise Money For
Kids In Distress

Donations fall like snowflakes while volunteer employee choir performs holiday classics

WEST PALM BEACH, FL (December 13, 2010) –  As money fell from the floors above, members of Circuit Sound – the Clerk & Comptroller’s office volunteer employee choir – performed holiday tunes for Governmental Center employees to raise money for Kids In Distress.

The annual performance in the first-floor atrium of the Governmental Center raised $500 for Kids In Distress, which focuses on the prevention of child abuse and treatment of abuse victims. Employees from different Governmental Center offices dropped donations for the charity from the six floors above the atrium.

“Circuit Sound’s performance is the highlight of the holiday season at the Governmental Center,” said Clerk Sharon Bock. “It’s even more special that they’re able to raise so much money for such a worthy cause.”

The Circuit Sound concert is a holiday tradition at the Governmental Center, which houses offices for the Clerk, the Property Appraiser, Tax Collector and the Board of County Commissioners.

Circuit Sound performances have raised more than $5,500 for local charities since 1997. Circuit Sound members are all Clerk’s office employees who practice and perform on their own time.

Overall, the Clerk & Comptroller's office has donated more than half a million dollars to charities through its employees’ various fundraising activities.
