Our Role as Clerk of the Board of County Commissioners
The Clerk & Comptroller prepares and maintains the records of Palm Beach County government meetings and makes them available to the public. Records dating back to the County’s creation in 1909 are maintained as public record.
About County Commission Meetings
The Board of County Commissioners meets regularly on the first and third Tuesdays of each month for public hearings and regular Board items.

How do I find the minutes of a county commission meeting?
myMinutes, meetings can be sorted by clicking on the name, date or duration columns. You may also search for specific keywords using the search box. Surround phrases with quotation marks to search for an exact phrase. To search for Documents, Resolutions, Amendments, or Terminates, use R-YYYY-#### (e.g. R-2007-0001). For meetings held prior to 2003, contact Board Services at (561) 355-2951.
Why do some meetings not have video minutes?
While many County Commission meetings are video recorded, many other committee meetings are not. However, the Clerk’s office audio records the meetings. Copies of audio recordings may be obtained by calling Board Services at (561) 355-2951.
What is the difference between preliminary and final minutes?
Preliminary minutes do not have the approval of the Board of County Commissioners and are subject to change.
Final minutes are posted after approval by the Board of County Commissioners and include specific motions, votes and public comment.
How does the public participate in County Commission meetings?
Rules and procedures for public meetings are posted on the
County Commission Web site, which also lists the schedule of government meetings and workshops as well as upcoming and archived agendas.
Is backup documentation to the agenda items available?
Beginning with year 2017, executed resolutions and ordinances as well as some backup documentation will be available as PDFs and posted through
myMinutes. Look for the attachment to the backup documentation at the end of each agenda item. For copies of executed consent agenda items, please contact Board Services at (561) 355-2951.

How do I operate the myMinutes video player?
Video: Click PLAY to start the video.
Video Controls: Use these to play, pause, adjust the volume or access full screen mode.
Minutes Document: Open link to access the entire minutes of the meeting being viewed. Some items in the minutes may contain blue links leading to supporting documents. Adobe Reader is required.
Index: Displays items on the agenda that are linked to video and/or the supporting documents. Click on an index item to jump to that portion of the video.
Search Button: Use this button to search the meeting minutes by keyword or a specific resolution (e.g. R-2017-1094). The search results will appear in the index window. To clear the search, hit reset.
