Free Do-It-Yourself In Court Workshops & Toolboxes

Are you representing yourself in court? The Clerk & Comptroller's Self-Service Center hosts free workshops each month on a variety of topics. Plus, toolboxes from past workshops offer additional resources to help you.

Your Guide through the Courts

Pro Se E-FilingThe Self-Service Center is your go-to source for help navigating the court system in Palm Beach County, providing the resources you need to represent yourself, access the courts and much more!

Self-Service Centers are available in the Main Courthouse (temporarily located on the third floor in room 3.21) and in all branch courthouse locations. Self Service Centers are open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

File Your Documents Online

Self-represented litigants may choose to electronically file documents online using the statewide e-filing portal. You may access the portal 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to file documents. E-filing is not required for self-represented filers; our office will continue to accept paper filings from self-represented litigants.

*Passport services including photos and applications are available at branch locations only of the Clerk & Comptroller's office. In West Palm Beach, passport applications are handled at the United States Post Office at 3200 Summit Boulevard, West Palm Beach, FL 33406.

Legal Forms

Forms available for purchase include FamilySmall ClaimsEviction (Landlord/Tenant)Petition to Seal/Expunge and more. The forms have instructions including how many copies are needed, where to take the forms and what the next steps are. The prices of these forms range from $1 to $20, and they may be purchased at any Self Service Center location.

If you know the form packet you wish to purchase, you may contact us at (561) 355-7048 and submit a request over the phone.

Once you have completed your forms, you have the option to electronically file them.

Attorney Assistance

Attorney assistance is available by appointment at all Self-Service Center locations except Belle Glade. The attorney can offer procedural advice in Family, Small Claims and Landlord/Tenant actions. The cost of this service is:

  • $15.00 for 15 minutes
    (Fifteen minutes appointments are reserved for simple matters such as landlord/tenant, small claims and simplified dissolution of marriage. Any other subject matter should be scheduled for a minimum of 30 minutes, including dissolution of marriage with children or property.)
  • $30.00 for 30 minutes
  • $60.00 for 60 minutes

Notice of Confidential Information Within Court Filing

Any court filings made in a Florida court that contain confidential information must be accompanied by a Notice of Confidential Information – a form that lists exemptions to public records laws, including adoption records, Social Security or bank account numbers, HIV test results or information identifying victims of sexual offenses. Read more, including links to helpful resources.
